Queens Cottage sits on the lane down to Glass Lake, close enough to see the lake from the garden whilst sitting on the terrace.
Inside it's light and unfussy — limewashed walls, a deep sofa you'll lose an afternoon to, and a kitchen built for lazy fry-ups and the odd ambitious dinner. Three bedrooms sleep six, and the spaniel is just as welcome as you are.
It's the kind of place regulars rebook a year ahead. Booking straight through us means a fairer price for you and a real person to text when the key won't turn.

"Booked direct after staying once through a platform and we'll never go back. Same lovely cottage, better price, and Jane replied within minutes when we couldn't find the bin day."
"Spotless, warm, and the sea view is exactly as the photos show — no surprises. The dogs loved the garden. Already rebooked for next spring."
"You can tell it's owned by people who care. The little welcome pack and the walking guide made it feel personal. Three minutes to the lake was no exaggeration."
We bought Queens Cottage in 2016 and have looked after every guest personally since. We're not a faceless company or a remote investor — we're ten minutes away, and we genuinely want your stay to be the best week of your year.
Booking direct with us means you reach a real person, not a call centre. It also means we keep more of what you pay instead of handing it to a platform — so we can keep the cottage immaculate and the price fair.
